5 Prayers

Restoration Healing 2.0 notes

Class day 5: April 2, 2025

Prayers

Hebrews 4:16  Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.

When we pray, we, in the spirit, go into the throneroom.

When we pray, it changes our physical atmosphere.

Pray as if it already happened.  (Expectant)

And thank God for His promises and things He’s already done (it will help your faith)

Mark 1:35 (ESV) says, “Rising very early in the morning, while it was still dark, he [Jesus] departed and went out to a desolate place, and there he prayed.”

Jesus Christ, God in flesh, felt it necessary to remove himself from the patterns of daily life in order to communicate with the Father.

If we are to be imitators of Christ (Eph. 5:1), we must recognize the importance of this act. Jesus believed communication with God to be so important that, though he was God, he devoted specific time alone to it. This must be an example for us.

Opening prayer: Dear Heavenly Father, Thank You for paying the full price of our sickness and sin on the cross. Thank You for restoring our relationship with God our Creator by becoming the atonement and sacrificial lamb, and by baptizing us with Holy Spirit so we may pass away to the fallen world, and be reborn into God’s grace. We ask that you reveal any unforgiveness in our heart, known or unknown, so that we may repent and be closer to You. We surrender our lives to you fully and we ask that you make straight our paths so we may walk according to Your will for us.

We declare the blood of Jesus from the top of our head to the soles of our feet and an infilling of the Holy Spirit in every vacant part. We declare the release of the fruits of the Spirit, love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, generosity, faithfulness, gentleness, and self control.

We declare Your glory across humanity, sweeping through the darkness with marvelous light. To You God, the Father, to be the glory forever and ever. We declare we will arise, and shine Your light into the world!

In Jesus’ mighty name!

AMEN

Power of prayer in the medical field: Harvard medical did a study in the 1970’s about prayers and healing.  30-60% of patients who received prayers, whether known or unknown to the patient, saw significant improvement in healing.

That’s the equivalent of giving aspirin to an acute heart attack patient, and seeing improvement.

1-Thanking God

1 Timothy 4:4-5 For everything God created is good and nothing is to be rejected if it is received with thanksgiving because it is consecrated by the word of God and prayer.

Psalm 106:1 Praise the Lord. Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his love endures forever.

Hebrews 12: 28-29 Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, let us be thankful, and so worship God acceptably with reverence and awe, for our God is a consuming fire.

Hebrews 13:15 Through Jesus, therefore, let us continually offer to God a sacrifice of praise, the fruit of lips that openly profess his name.

Psalm 107: 21 Let them give thanks to the Lord for his unfailing love and his wonderful deeds for mankind.

Colossians 3:16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God.

Philippians 4:6 do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.

Remember by His stripes, we Were healed.  We do not demand of God.  God already did His part.  We need to thank Him.

Praise and Worship prayers

When we say a restoration prayer, we repent of our ways and declare our desire to be more intimate with Christ. It’s a prayer you say in faith with complete conviction that the Lord is the restorer of everything.

Romans 8:28 And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.

Joel 2:25-26 “I will repay you for the years the locusts have eaten, the great locust and the young locust, the other locusts and the locust swarm—

my great army that I sent among you. 26 You will have plenty to eat, until you are full, and you will praise the name of the Lord your God, who has worked wonders for you; never again will my people be shamed

Psalm 51:9-12 Hide Your face from my sins and blot out all my guilt and iniquities.

10 Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right, persevering, and steadfast spirit within me.

11 Cast me not away from Your presence and take not Your Holy Spirit from me.

12 Restore to me the joy of Your salvation and uphold me with a willing spirit.

Prayer: Father, thank You for opening my heart to You and Your Word and Your Spirit.  I will not allow my heart  or emotions to become hardened by the circumstances of life.  I thank You that Your grace has provided for every need in my life.  I will walk in Your promises, and have absolute faith in You.  I will not be passive or allow the weeds of the fallen live in my renewed life in You.

I ask of you Father to reveal any hidden unforgiveness or emotional trauma so that I may repent and give those burdens to You so that I may receive Your full grace of healing.

Thank you for healing my heart and listening to my griefs so I can receive your wholeness.

I receive Your finished work in my heart and soul and declare that healing is mine!

In the name of Jesus!  Amen!

2-Accepting Jesus and being filled with Holy Spirit (to die in flesh, and live in spirit)

Romans 10: 9-10 Because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved.

John 3:17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him.

Romans 10:13  For “everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”

Acts 2:38  And Peter said to them, “Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

Salvation prayer:  Lord Jesus, thank You for loving me and dying for me on the cross. Your precious blood washes me clean of every sin. You are my Lord and Savior, now and forever.  I believe that You rose from the dead and that You are alive today.  Because Your finished work, I am now a beloved child of God and heaven is my home.  Thank You for giving me eternal life and filling my heart with Your peace and joy. Amen

Holy Communion prayer: (hold the bread) Thank you, Jesus, for Your broken body.  Thank you for bearing my symptoms and sicknesses at the cross so that I may have Your health and wholeness.  I declare that by Your stripes, by the beatings You bore, by the lashes which fell on Your back, I am completely healed.  I believe and I receive Your resurrection life in my body today. (eat bread). (take wine) Thank You, Jesus, for Your blood that has washed me clean, Your blood has brought me forgiveness and made me righteous forever. And as I drink, I celebrate and partake of the inheritance of the righteous, which includes preservation, healing, wholeness and all Your blessings. (drink wine).  Thank You, Jesus. I love You because You first loved me.

3-Faith Prayer

Ephesians 2:8-9 - For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.

Matthew 21:22 - And whatever you ask in prayer, you will receive, if you have faith.

Luke 1:37 - For nothing will be impossible with God.

2 Corinthians 5:7 - For we walk by faith, not by sight.

Romans 10:17 - So faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ.

Hebrews 11:1 - Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.

Proverbs 3:5-6 - Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.

Prayer: Father, I receive the revelation of Your presence in my life. You are the Greater One who lives within, and Your power to heal is within me.  I release Your healing power into every part of my being and I believe that Your Spirit is making me alive! Amen!

Remember the woman with the issue of blood, she said if she could only touch a thread of Jesus’ clothing, she would be healed.  Faith.

Who else during Jesus’ time had that unshakable faith in Him? Centurion and his sick servant?  Woman who dragged her friend through the roof?

4-Forgiveness, repentance (known or unknown)

Matthew 6:9–15

Pray then like this: Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name.Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.

For if you forgive others their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you, but if you do not forgive others their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.

Acts 2:38-39

And Peter said to them, “Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. For the promise is for you and for your children and for all who are far off, everyone whom the Lord our God calls to himself.”

1 John 1:7–10

But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus his Son cleanses us from all sin. If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.

Psalm 32:1–7

Blessed is the one whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered. Blessed is the man against whom the LORD counts no iniquity, and in whose spirit there is no deceit. For when I kept silent, my bones wasted away through my groaning all day long. For day and night your hand was heavy upon me; my strength was dried up as by the heat of summer. I acknowledged my sin to you, and I did not cover my iniquity; I said, “I will confess my transgressions to the LORD,” and you forgave the iniquity of my sin. Therefore let everyone who is godly offer prayer to you at a time when you may be found; surely in the rush of great waters, they shall not reach him. You are a hiding place for me; you preserve me from trouble; you surround me with shouts of deliverance.

5-Your words in prayer have to agree with God’s Word(s)

If we pray using words of doubt of fear, they have little to no power, since fear and doubt is not of God, and is sitting in your heart.

For instance ‘Father God, if it is Your will, I ask that you heal me”

“Lord God, I beg of you that you give me divine healing”

So speak life giving words:

Matthew 12:34-35 For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks. A good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth good things, and an evil man out of the evil treasure brings forth evil things.

Proverbs 4:20-22  My son, give attention to my words, incline your ear to my sayings. Do not let them depart from your eyes; keep them in the midst of your heart; for they are life to those who find them, and health to all their flesh.

Isaiah 55:11

In the same way, my words leave my mouth, and they don’t come back without results. My words make the things happen that I want to happen. They succeed in doing what I send them to do

In prayer, our desires can become more like God’s desires, and we may align our wills with the will of God.

1 John 5:14-15 (ESV) says, “And this is the confidence that we have toward him, that if we ask anything according to his will he hears us.

And if we know that he hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we have the requests that we have asked of him.” We are therefore, according to this passage, called to pray in a way that reflects Christ’s will, not our own will.

Prayer:

Thank you Father God for Your healing because we know every good and perfect gift comes from You, who there is no variation or shadow of turning.

You are the same yesterday, today, and forever.

You healed the children of Israel when they escaped slavery from Egypt and made them strong. You gave them food and water in the desert wilderness, and gave them the promised land of milk and honey.

We thank You Father God that when Jesus suffered our transgressions and gave up the ghost on the cross, it was for our sins and sickness so we do not have to suffer them any longer.

And thank You for giving us ears to hear and the wisdom we need to navigate Your Word, so that we may fulfill Your will here on earth, as it is in heaven.

In Jesus’ name.  Amen

6-Deliverance, declarations(our authority on earth-our power in Christ)

Luke 10:19

Behold I give you authority to trample on serpents and scorpions and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you.

Psalm 50:15  “And call upon me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you shall glorify me.”

2 Samuel 22:2 He said, “The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer.”

2 Thessalonians 3:3 But the Lord is faithful. He will establish you and guard you against the evil one.

Acts 10:38

How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power. He went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with him.

Colossians 1:13

He has delivered us from the domain of darkness and transferred us to the kingdom of his beloved Son.

Matthew 28:18-19 ESV

And Jesus came and said to them, ‘All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.

Ephesians 4:27 ESV

And give no opportunity to the devil.

Luke 9:1 ESV

And he called the twelve together and gave them power and authority over all demons and to cure diseases.

Romans 13:1 ESV

Let every person be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and those that exist have been instituted by God.

1 John 4:4 ESV

Little children, you are from God and have overcome them, for he who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.

James 4:7 ESV

Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

1 Corinthians 15:57 ESV

But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

1 Timothy 6:12 ESV

Fight the good fight of the faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called and about which you made the good confession in the presence of many witnesses.

2 Corinthians 10:4-5 ESV

For the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh but have divine power to destroy strongholds. We destroy arguments and every lofty opinion raised against the knowledge of God, and take every thought captive to obey Christ.

To deliver or declare is using your authority to command something.

Also, speak to your problem about Your powerful God.  Who already healed you.

7-When in doubt, read scripture

Kenneth Hagin said his niece was gravely ill and in the hospital, and he was not even in the same city as her to visit her and heal her, so he read every single healing scripture out loud for hours, and after several hours, he heard in his spirit that she had her manifested healing.

Romans 8:26 introduces the Holy Spirit’s role in our prayers, saying, “Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words.” The Spirit works at aligning our prayers to the will of God, and thus, when we pray, we are brought closer to right relationship with him. Prayer isn’t about making the things we selfishly want happen; it’s about making us want what God wants.

So, REST in God

Be in HIS word

With HIM

Rebuke doubt

Rebuke unbelief

Rebuke the symptoms

Repent knowns or unknowns

Make room for GOD to fill you (Holy Spirit)

Thank Him for what He’s already done.

Closing Prayer: (by Chad Prather)

Father, we come before You with thankful hearts, as Psalm 100:4 reminds us to "enter His gates with thanksgiving, and His courts with praise." We thank You for Your goodness and mercy that follows us all the days of our lives (Psalm 23:6). You are our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1).

Lord, we acknowledge our transgressions, as we read in 1 John 1:9: "If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." We repent for the times we have turned away from You and for the moments we have allowed our hearts to stray.

We humbly ask for Your mercy and grace, knowing that Your love is unfailing and Your forgiveness is abundant. As we seek Your face, may Your Spirit guide us to walk in righteousness, reflecting Your light in our lives (Matthew 5:16).

Thank You for the gift of salvation through Your Son, Jesus Christ, who bore our sins and offers us everlasting life. May our lives be a testament to Your grace and an expression of our thankfulness.

In Jesus’ name,

Amen

Holy Communion Prayer At Home

How should you pray during this time of preparation? This is a deeply personal moment between you and God. There’s no exact formula, but your prayers can include thanksgiving for Christ’s sacrifice, requests for spiritual cleansing, and petitions for strength and renewal in your faith. You might also pray for deeper unity with the body of Christ, asking for healing and forgiveness where needed.

These prayers will help you center your heart on the significance of communion and draw closer to Jesus in this holy moment. Let your spirit be filled with reverence, gratitude, and love as you partake in this beautiful act of worship, remembering the price that was paid for your salvation.

1. Prayer of Preparation Before Taking Holy Communion at Home:

As I partake in this holy sacrament, may I be reminded of Your ultimate sacrifice and the power of Your resurrection. Fill me with awe of Your presence and align my thoughts and desires with Your will. I dedicate this moment to You, Lord, and ask that You sanctify it with Your holy presence. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

2. Prayer of Consecration for the Bread and Wine:

Heavenly Father, we consecrate this bread and wine to You. Let it symbolize the body and blood of our Lord Jesus Christ, broken and shed for the remission of our sins. As we partake, may Your Holy Spirit descend and fill us with the grace to honor this sacred act. Lord, let these elements remind us of the covenant we have with You through Jesus’ sacrifice. Transform this simple meal into a divine moment of connection with You. In Jesus’ precious name, Amen.
