5 Faith

For as he thinks in his heart, so is he… Proverbs 23:7

Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us, for it is written: “Cursed is everyone who is hung on a tree”. Galatians 3:12

How do you see yourself?  Whatever is in your heart determines this. Including how you take that doctor’s diagnosis, or how you see your symptoms. (Do not own them.  They are not yours.  They aren't of God either)

The truth is that through Jesus’ finished work at the cross, you are completely righteous and completely redeemed from every curse of sin and sickness. You are God’s beloved child for whom Jesus did a complete work to save, heal and deliver.

So don’t see yourself as sick trying to get healed.  You are the healed, righteous and beloved child of God facing symptoms.  Be of good cheer! There is no disease or condition that is greater than the perfect, finished work Jesus has accomplished for you. Declare what you’ve been made in Christ and see your body reveal this truth!

Declaration prayer:

We declare we were purposefully created

Knitted together

Formed in our mother’s womb

And set apart

Our hearts beat to the rhythm of the Kingdom

And we declare the plans of God has breathed out over our lives

Are good, wrapped in delight

With a destiny saturated in hope and unfettered joy.

We declare the carnal life we were born into is dead

And our new life is within Jesus Christ

Marked by His blood and body

Who suffered, died and rose again to forever

Graft us as citizens of Heaven

And sealed with the promised Holy Spirit.

We decree the demonic forces of hell have no legal right to:

Our identity, mind, emotions, family, future, finances, health, or dreams.

We are blood bought children of the Kingdom of Heaven.

We declare no darkness shall ever dim the marvelous light which burns inside of us morning noon and night.

We declare that we are HIS

Forever

And no scheme, plot, lie, or enemy plan or weapon will ever take us from His strong right hand

Father God be a protection of light over our life forever

In the Name of Jesus.

AMEN

Sin (slaves of-and death), or Righteousness (servants of- and life) Romans 6

{death is sickness and life is health}

Romans 1:17

17 For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.

Faith

Hebrews 11:

1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

The list of faith examples from old testament are listed in Hebrews 11

Hope meaning expectations (versus just wishes).  Like an expecting mother

Make sure you live in Active Faith.  The expecting mother prepares for her baby: baby shower, stocking diapers, taking classes, thinking of names. (versus being passive about it: ‘oh God will provide when the baby shows up’, and just goes about her days without another baby thought until she births it.)

Conviction of proof is the Word of God.

As we speak the Word of God, and believe them fully, our healing roots will take place.

Romans 10:17

So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

Mark 11:20-24

And in the morning, as they passed by, they saw the fig tree dried up from the roots.

And Peter calling to remembrance saith unto him, Master, behold, the fig tree which thou cursedst is withered away.

And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God.

For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.

Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.

Romans 3:27–29

Then what becomes of our boasting? It is excluded. By what kind of law? By a law of works? No, but by the law of faith. For we hold that one is justified by faith apart from works of the law.

God’s promise, covenant, is absolute.  He cannot lie.  God is truth.  So when you’re angry at Him, yell His Words and tell the universe that your God Is Truth, and His Word stands. Remember what Jesus would say when the devil was tempting Him: “it is Written”.

Every story about Jesus healing someone He talks about their faith:

Matt 9:2

Matt 9:22

Matt 9:29

Matt 15:28

Mark 2:5

Mark 5:34

Mark 10:52

Luke 5:20

Luke 7:50

Luke 8:48

Luke 17:19

Luke 18:42

The father of faith, as I call him, Abraham

Romans 4:17-21

17 (As it is written, I have made thee a father of many nations,) before him whom he believed, even God, who quickeneth the dead, and calleth those things which be not as though they were.

18 Who against hope believed in hope, that he might become the father of many nations, according to that which was spoken, So shall thy seed be.

19 And being not weak in faith, he considered not his own body now dead, when he was about an hundred years old, neither yet the deadness of Sarah's womb:

20 He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God;

21 And being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform.

What else was Abraham completely faithful about?

The sacrifice of his only son.

David, years and years of being hunted by the King of Israel, Saul.  God had anointed Saul, but took it away and told David that he was King of Israel.  15 years later, and absolute faith in God, David was finally crowned.

How many other names in the Bible had true faith in God?

Noah

Abraham

Jacob

Joseph

Moses

Joshua and Caleb (of the 12 spies)

Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego (the fire)

Daniel

Ruth

Esther

Joshua (walls of Jericho)

The old testament prophets of course

Mother Mary and Joseph

Ephesians 2:8–9

For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.

So, how do we have true faith in God?  Complete surrender

Here’s some scripture:

1) James 4:7“Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.”

2) Matthew 16:24Then Jesus told his disciples, “If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me.”

3) Matthew 16:25“For whoever would save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake will find it.”

4) Hebrews 11:6“And without faith it is impossible to please him, for whoever would draw near to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him.”

5) Jeremiah 29:11“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”

6) Romans 12:2“Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.”

7) Proverbs 3:5-6“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.”

8) Isaiah 45:9“Woe to those who quarrel with their Maker, those who are nothing but potsherds among the potsherds on the ground. Does the clay say to the potter, ‘What are you making?’ Does your work say, ‘The potter has no hands’?”

9) Luke 14:33“So therefore, any one of you who does not renounce all that he has cannot be my disciple.”

10) Matthew 6:33“But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.”

Closing prayer:

Father God, bless those who believe and have not seen. It is written and we believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, and that we will have life through His name.

Father God, if our heart does not condemn us, we have confidence and faith in You.  And whatever we ask of You we receive because we have Your faith alive inside of us.

Father God, we ask that You open our eyes to see, our ears to hear, and our heart to be open to You, Your Word, and Your Spirit.  We will not allow our hearts to be hardened by the circumstances of life.

And thank you so much, Lord, for the healing and forgiveness You already gave us through the blood shed and suffering of your only son.

So we declare that

By His stripes we were healed!

His Word is life and health to our flesh. His Spirit quickens our mortal body. Life and health is in the power of our tongue, and His Word.

The fruit of our righteousness is a tree of life. He sent His Word and healed us.

Thank you Father God.

In Jesus’s Name

Amen!
